James Marsters Will Get A Replacement For His Stolen Spacey Award From Space Channel’s Hypaspace Weekly August 22nd Edition - 2004-08-25th According to the August 22nd edition of HypaSpace Weekly on the Space Channel, he is being sent a replacement award. The award, which he won in 2004 for Fave Male TV Character: Spike, was taken from his personal trailer. A message from his manager concerning the Stolen 2004 Spacey Award for sale on eBay : "Many fans have written to let us know that an award given to James is being auctioned on E-Bay. James and his business associates are very upset to learn that a valued and much appreciated award was taken from his personal trailer without his knowledge and is now being offered on E-Bay. Please do not help support people who are profiting from unscrupulous acts. Thank you." - Steve Himber
How Much For A Lock of James Marsters’ Hair ? From Angelfooddrive.com - 22/08/04 A lock of hair generously donated from James Marsters to Angel’s Food Drive sold for $3040.00 !!! August 19, 2004 A lock of bleached blonde hair with speckles of his natural brunette, which he shaved off for charity. This lock was donated by James specifically to Angel’s Food Drive for our charity auction. It was sent to us via Mr. Marster’s manager Steve Himber. Below is a copy of our email correspondence with Mr. Himber, a scan of the envelope the lock came in and a scan of the actual lock. The winning bidder will, of course, get the lock of hair in the envelope.
James Marsters "Getting the Most Buzz" for ANGEL TV Movie From Tvguide.com - By Kristin Veitch - 21/08/04 That’s the latest word, plus news on the possibility that Charisma Carpenter may become a Charmed regular. Rooty Tooty Spike and Fruity: Angel fans, you never cease to amaze me. Though the show is long gone, and we have nothing left but our anger at the WB to cling to, you’ve still managed to turn it around and do something positive. This week, I received my very first fruit basket from the fruitcakes (I say that lovingly) at Support Spike, along with a 12-inch-tall collectible doll that is making this a one-handed column as we speak--I cannot bear to release my kung-fu grip on wittle Spikey. The fan publicity kits were sent to the WB, Mutant Enemy (Joss Whedon’s production company), Fox Studios and a few press types. Their mission: stir up support for a Spike-centered event movie or spinoff series. According to sources at the Frog net, WB boss Garth Ancier is still pushing for the WB to do at least one Angel TV movie this season, possibly a few, focusing on individual characters. Since David Boreanaz is not expected to sign on, I’m told James Marsters (Spike) is getting "the most buzz." More yumminess, though it’s hardly an Angel movie, we fans may have another reason to tune into the WB this fall. A rep at the network confirmed that Angel expat Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia) is indeed guesting on Charmed in the third and fifth episodes of the season, airing Sept. 26 and Oct. 10. She’s filming right now, and I’m hoping to speak with her to get the full scoop. For now I can tell you she’s playing a demonic seer (no connection to her role on Angel). According to the rep at the WB, there’s a possibility Charisma could end up as a regular, but for now, it’s just a guest appearance.
Jane Espenson Joins Boreanaz and Marsters For Halloween From Bbc.co.uk - 20/08/04 Top Buffy writer joins Boreanaz and Marsters. Buffy The Vampire Slayer writer Jane Espenson will be flying in from America to join TV bloodsuckers David Boreanaz and James Marsters for the upcoming Halloween convention in London. Jane worked closely with Buffy The Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon and was both writer and co-executive producer of the series. She was responsible for many top episodes including Band Candy, Superstar and Harsh Light Of Day. She’s now writing for Tru Calling, starring ex-Buffy star Eliza Dushku, and has recently entered into a development deal with 20th Century Fox. She hopes to produce her own series in the upcoming seasons. Jane will be joining the guest line-up at Halloween 2004 in London this October with David Boreanaz, James Marsters, Juliet Landau and Luke Perry. She will be revealing some behind-the-scenes secrets of filming Buffy The Vampire Slayer and talking about what it takes to put words into the mouth of a vampire.

James Marsters Management Keeps an Eye on ’Storm Front’ Casting From Jamesmarsters.com - 04/08/04 Many of you are eager to know James’ next project and have e-mailed with lots of supportive suggestions - thank you. James has been very busy with meetings and auditions and reading material, that I am sure will lead to his next project shortly. I know that a lot of you are anxiously following the Dresden book “Storm Front” which is in development with Lions Gate for Sci-Fi channel as a movie of the week. We are following it closely and as of now there is no casting yet. I understand that they are still in the development stages of working out the story for the small screen. James will be recording the next Dresden book on tape “Grave Peril” in late September. As soon as we have a release date, we will share it with you. He is also taking advantage of this much needed downtime in anticipation of revving back up again - getting in lots of rest and exercise and family time.
