    Support Spike: New Spike Merchandise
    From: Support Spike Mailing List

    Hi All,

In hopefully a sign of things to come, we've received such great news in the past two weeks regarding upcoming Spike items.

TaraDi just posted on BAPS regarding a Spike Trading Card Set and binder available in February of '05:

    http://www.inkworks.com/products/spike/spikecomplete/spikecompnewprod1.html

We've also heard from Simon & Schuster regarding a Spike-centric novel called Spark and Burn (that is definitely not being written by Nancy Holder for those who are wondering) to be published late summer of next year.

Hopefully this means that someone at Fox and at Simon & Schuster is listening.

Once purchase details are available for the new book, I'd love to start a fundraising drive to provide copies for libraries and hospitals. :)

YAY, US! Keep up the good work!

If you want to enter the contest, you must not have won in another CINESCAPE contest in the past two months. Here's what else you need to know:

The contest is open from 12:01 PM on Tuesday, November 16, 2004, and will close at 12:01 PM on Monday, November 22, 2004. New Details of James' New Movie
    From: teep @ http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/SupportSpike/

Jamie's Note: I'm not too sure where this info came from, thus I can't be sure of the validity of it. More as I know it.

    Hi Everyone,

The title of James movie is out - looks like it's The Pierre Heist.

A little bit on the story it's based on:

    Masterminds
    Episode: the Hotel Pierre Heist

On New Years Eve 1972, Bobby Comfort and his gang pulled off the largest hotel safe heist in U.S. history. It happened at the Pierre Hotel in New York City. After rehearsing a number of scenarios and planning their getaway, Comfort and his gang swooped into the hotel at 4am on New Years Eve. After two and a half hours, they greeted the New Year with more than $10 million dollars in cash and jewels.

Want a Lock of James Marsters' Hair??
    From: aegyptuspatriaest on eBay

    Description

I am a major James Marsters (Spike in Buffy) fan. I know some people who do the new The Mountain TV show, so I hang out at the set sometimes. They had to shave James' hair for his role, so I just asked him if I could have a lock of his hair for a fan's collection. He said "Sure, take all you want!" and was very nice about it. So, I took two locks. I am keeping one for my collection, but putting the other up for auction. If you, like me, love Marsters in his role as Spike and all his other roles, then think about it: you can have a real lock of his hair. I will provide a certificate of authenticity with it also. And to prove it's real, I'll give you your money back if you ever prove it is not his. I say this because it really is his, since I got it from his very hands. No reserve! Start the bidding, James Marsters fans!

Bidding ends 26 November, 04. To place a bid visit eBay.com

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Angel Synopsis
In a city overpopulated by demons, warlocks and some really nasty lawyers, a creature of the night becomes Los Angeles’ greatest hope. Once a vicious vampire who terrorised Europe, vampire-with-a-soul Angel (David Boreanaz) has flown to the city after realising his love affair with vampire slayer Buffy can never lead the pair of them to a happy ending. Here he finds a new direction helping the helpless in order to get his reward from "The Powers That Be"--to be forgotten, regain his humanity and atone for his past crimes. In his quest, he sets up Angel Investigations, with the help of an unlikely (and remarkably effective) evil-fighting team.

    Spike Synopsis
An unlikely hero, Spike (James Marsters) first met Angel (then known as Angelus) in London in 1880, where he was turned into a vampire by one of Angel's traveling companions, an insane vampire named Drusilla. Over a century later, after several narrow escapes from Buffy, Spike is captured by a specialist army unit who plant an experimental chip in his brain that robs him of the ability to hurt humans, leaving him impotent and powerless. This humiliating event starts him along a new path in his life--one that will ultimately lead him to unrequited love and an unexpected part in saving the world. It is after this that he finds himself trapped in Los Angeles and once again becomes a part of Angel's complicated world--much to Angel's considerable annoyance…

Angel Season 5 is currently available to buy on VHS, and will be released to buy on DVD February 28, 2005 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Subject: [SupportSpike] Emailing the WB re The Mountain

Below is the message I've been posting at every Spike/JM board I belong to. Please pass it along to any private lists you have contact with or any other boards you think will be interested.

At SupportSpike, we've been talking about how we can show the WB that we are very, very happy that JM is going to be on our television screens again and this is something we've come up with.

We're asking anyone who wishes to participate to email the WB this coming week, in anticipation of JM's appearance on The Mountain next Sunday. For maximum impact, we think an organized schedule is a good idea, so that the network gets some emails everyday. So, if you're last name starts with A - E, please email on Monday Nov 15th; F - I, Tuesday; J - N, Wednesday; O - S, Thursday; T - Z, Friday.

    The email addy is faces@thewb.com

Also, it would be great if we called and left messages on Monday, Nov 22nd, praising JM's performance. That telephone number is 818-977-5000.

Thanks in advance for doing this.

    Steve Himber's Statement

This was the statement made by Steve Himber (James' manager) in regards to James' current film project:

"NO we have no association with the producers of "Venetian Heat" - they have yet to prove that they are legitimate producers who can make that film. This is another film and because of contractual issues I cannot release alot about it. I can tell you that James stars in it and plays a loveable, loser, wannabe bankrobber."

Details of James' Mysterious New Movie
    From: Slayerverse

James and his Mysterious Movie Role!

We have found out some tidbits about the new movie role of James Marsters.

First of all, James started filming on Friday, November 5th in Toronto. He will stay 4 weeks in Canada.

So the movie will be a Canadian production. But it is hard to say on which exact production James participates.

Besides that the manager of James has stated that he has contracts forbidding him to talk about the content of the movie.

Well his movie role gets more mysterious and we wait for some new facts that can finish the speculations.

    Support Spike Postcards

*Permission to repost anywhere and everywhere*

Just wanted to report that the organizers at the Halloween event were kind enough to have a table for all of the Support Spike gift bags at the convention. I'd say an overwhelming majority of people took a bag and all 800+ were gone by early morning Saturday.

Although there may not be any further possibility for Spike, hopefully the majority of the postcards are being filled out and sent to the below addresses. I hope you will join them in sending out a batch or two yourselves. This is most likely the last big postcard push focusing on Spike for the time being (or at least until we hear some more encouraging news) so the bigger the participation the better.

Halloween 2004 seems to have been a huge success. I’ve gotten nothing but rave reviews from many guests and I’m told that the boards are full of wonderful stories and memories. I want to thank all the people who worked so hard to make it all come together and thank all the guests who were all so polite and in the best of spirits. I know that James and all of the other guests had a great time. The fans as usual were all amazing ! We will be exploring future dates both in the U.S and in Europe for 2005. We will announce any appearances that James will be at on this website first (http://www.jamesmarsters.com) In the meantime, James is off for the next 4 weeks working on a film.
